asked the Minister for the Environment, in relation to the land which was acquired for a national waste disposal centre at Bransbarn, Baldonnell, County Dublin (a) the cost to the Exchequer of the land to date including the purchase price and the cost of any plans or works in relation to the site, (b) the total acreage of this land, (c) whether it is for sale and (d) the zoning of the land; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The total cost to the Exchequer of the proposal in question was £410,734 of which £161,152 related to site acquisition costs. The land, which is zoned agricultural, comprises some 14 acres and is for sale on the open market at present.
