The Government's proposals for expenditure under EC Structural Funds are outlined in the National Development Plan 1989-1993 and a series of sectoral operational programmes which are currently the subject of discussions with the EC Commission. The sectoral operational programmes are as follows:
Agriculture and rural development; energy; human resources; education, training and employment; industrial development; roads; sanitary and other local services; telecommunications and postal services; tourism; and transport.
It is a matter for the Ministers concerned to provide information in relation to the sectoral expenditures relevant to their areas of responsibility.
