Vol. 389 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dublin Port Development Plan.

139.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he has considered whethere the entire Dublin port area should be brought under planning control, under which there could be a global development plan for the port that would incorporate amenity objectives as well as the objectives of the port operators; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The land area of Dublin Port is wholly under planning control. The manner in which development plans under the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963, should provide for this area is a matter for the planning authority concerned, Dublin Corporation.
