asked the Minister for Justice if there are any plans to close the Garda station at Howth, County Dublin; the current strength of the force stationed at Howth; and the plans he has for the Garda service in the Howth area.

There are no proposals to close Howth Garda station, which will continue to provide a police service for the Howth area.

The current strength at the station is 35.

The policing needs of the Howth area will continue to be kept under review by the Garda authorities to ensure that an appropriate service is provided.
