Vol. 390 No. 5

Written Answers. - Security Arrangements.

28.

asked the Minister for Justice if he has satisfied himself that the recent arrests in Paris and the arms operation uncovered did not involve any breach of Irish security; and if he has satisfied himself with cross-Border security arrangements in light of the fact that Loyalists have since used rockets in attacks, believed to be sourced in south Africa.

I am assured by the Garda authorities that the recent arrests in Paris referred to in the question did not involve any breach of the security of the State. With regard to the second part of the Deputy's question, cross-Border security arrangements are kept under constant review to ensure that they meet requirements.
