Vol. 391 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Tallaght (Dublin) Health Centre.

51.

asked the Minister for Health whether a health centre is urgently needed to be located in West Tallaght, Dublin 24; if so, if he will indicate the plans, if any, there are to provide such a centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am aware that a new health centre is needed to serve the west Tallaght area and the Eastern Health Board have already acquired a site for this purpose at Fortunestown. The Fortunestown project is high on the health board's priority list. However, having regard to the limited capital funds available and to the many projects seeking funding, I am not in a position at present to say when work on the Fortunestown Health Centre is likely to commence.
