Vol. 391 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - County Kildare Centre Funding Application.

72.

asked the Minister for Education whether favourable consideration will be given to an application from the Kildare peat interpretative centre at Lullymore, County Kildare, for grant aid from the proceeds of the national lottery for the purpose of improving and extending facilities at the centre; if she accepts the merit of this particular application; if her attention has been drawn to the work already undertaken at the centre; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I take it that the Deputy is referring to the possibility of a grant under the capital grant scheme for the provision of recreational facilities. Grants up to the limit of funds available under this scheme have already been allocated by my Department. It is not possible therefore to consider any further applications at this time.
