Vol. 391 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Written Answers. - Dublin School.

73.

asked the Minister for Education when the remedial teacher for a school (details supplied) in Dublin 7, will be provided; when the grant of £71,000 will be paid to this school for renovation works to the primary school hall; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

A committee comprising of officials of my Department, representatives of the INTO and of management are presently examining the question of disadvantage in primary schools.

This matter will also be submitted to the central review committee under the Programme for National Recovery.

A new hall has been provided at the school referred to by the Deputy. The question of the sanction of a grant in respect of the provision of the hall is being considered in the context of the available capital. A decision will be conveyed to the school authorities at an early date.
