Vol. 392 No. 1

Written Answers. - Killarney Proposed Social Welfare Office.

181.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will establish a full-time social welfare office in Killarney, County Kerry to serve the needs of social welfare recipients on the same basis as the social welfare office in Tralee, Listowel and Caherciveen.

The manager of the branch employment office in Killarney has notified my Department of her intention to retire from her post with effect from the end of November 1989.

I am at present reviewing the situation relating to the Killarney area in the course of which I will carefully consider how the most effective service for social welfare applicants residing in the area can be achieved.

I will be pleased to convey the outcome of the review to the Deputy.
