Vol. 392 No. 8

Written Answers. - Donaghmede, Dublin, Police Office.

73.

asked the Minister for Justice the present status of the police clinic at Donaghmede, Dublin 13; if he will outline its full operation and functions; if it is intended to establish a full station in the area; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the police office or "clinic" at Donaghmede continues to operate each day except Sunday between the hours of 10 a.m. and midday; 2.30 p.m. and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. The clinic serves as a point of contact between the local community and members of the Garda Síochána and provides a range of services to the public that are normally available at a Garda station. The Garda authorities consider that the "clinic" is providing a satisfactory service and there are no proposals at present to establish a Garda station in the Donaghmede area.
