Statistics on prosecutions and convictions under the provisions of the Road Traffic (Lighting of Vehicles) Regulations, are contained in the Garda Commissioner's Annual Report on Crime, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library. I am informed by the garda authorities that details are not available of the numbers of prosecutions or convictions for specific offences relating to defective headlamps on motor vehicles.
