Vol. 392 No. 9

Written Answers. - Celbridge (County Kildare) School.

111.

asked the Minister for Education if she will offer grant assistance towards the provision of sewerage facilities in respect of an extension to St. Wolstans Holy Faith secondary school, Celbridge, County Kildare, having regard to the already heavy commitments entered into by the school authorities; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The school authorities have applied for grant-aid in respect of the upgrading of the sewerage system at St. Wolstans secondary school. Proposals have been submitted and are under consideration in my Department. A condition imposed by the local authority is that an 80 per cent capital contribution be made towards the cost of upgrading the pumping station. The school authorities have been requested to appeal against this condition. The outcome of the appeal is awaited in my Department and upon receipt of this the matter will be given further consideration.
