Tables 13 to 18 of Chapter 4 of the National Development Plan 1989-1993 indicate the assistance sought from FEOGA guidance section and the associated State and private sector expenditure in relation to the agriculture and food sector. In addition, total expenditure of £77.4 million in the area covered by the European Social Fund was envisaged.
The outcome of the negotiations with the EC Commission on the plan proposals will be published in the very near future by the Minister for Finance.
