Vol. 394 No. 4

Written Answers. - Drogheda (County Louth) School.

263.

asked the Minister for Education when she will give sanction to the purchase of St. Joseph's secondary school, Drogheda, County Louth, for the use of Scoil Aonghusa; whether this is the ideal solution to the future development of the school buildings which are not in a good state of repair; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that both the Christian Brothers and the board of management of Scoil Aonghusa are in favour of the development; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The question of the acquisition of the St. Joseph's secondary school property from the Christian Brothers for use by Scoil Aonghusa, Drogheda, is being considered at present. The necessary consultations with my Departments architectural staff and inspectorate are taking place and a decision will be made at the earliest possible date and conveyed to the Scoil Aonghusa authorities.
