asked the Minister for Education if she will outline all the conditions she sets for the payment of grants towards the cost of school buildings.

The conditions governing the sanction of capital grants in respect of national schools are set down in Chapter 5 of the Rules for National Schools.

The conditions attaching to the awards of grants to secondary schools in respect of school buildings are specified in the document entitled "Scheme for the payment of grants towards the building of recognised secondary schools" a copy of which I am forwarding to the Deputy.

Payment of capital grants towards the building of vocational schools is subject to the provisions of the Vocational Education Acts.
