Question:82 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Health the number of marriages which were performed in register offices in (a) 1986, (b) 1987 and (c) 1988; and the number of register offices in the Twenty-Six Counties.

The latest available figures from the Central Statistics Office for civil marriages are for the year 1987. The numbers of such marriages for each of the three years up to and including that year are as follows:
