Vol. 395 No. 4

Written Answers. - Special Leave Appeal.

Liam Aylward

Question:

123 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health if he will sympathetically consider an appeal for five weeks special leave with pay from the South Eastern Health Board in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if he will make a decision on this appeal.

The granting of special leave with pay is, in the first instance, a matter for the chief executive officer of each health board. The Deputy can be assured, however, that I am aware of the particular circumstances of this case and am currently having the matter examined in detail. I will let the Deputy know of the outcome in this instance as soon as possible.
