Question:

77 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health when an application was made to him for an increase in VHI premia; the date on which any increase was granted; the rate of the increase granted; and when the increase will become operative.

I received a premium increase application from the VHI board in January and this is at present being examined. As no increase has as yet been sanctioned, it would not be appropriate at this stage to provide any details of the application in question.
