Question:166 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Labour the number of (a) men and (b) women in his Department in the Higher Executive Officer grade and above in (i) 1989 and (ii) 1986.

In July 1989 there were 67 men and 26 women in the Higher Executive Officer grade and above in my Department (general service grades). In July 1986 the numbers in these grades were 79 men and 36 women.
