Question:261 Mr. Hilliard asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement and give any available information on Alzheimer's disease.
Written Answers. - Alzheimer's Disease.
I refer the Deputy to chapter ten in the report of the working party on services for the elderly The Years Ahead which gives an up to date analysis of the problems facing people with dementia and those caring for them and the services available to them. The recommendations of the report have been accepted in principle by the Government and my Department are at present examining plans submitted by the health boards for the implementation of these recommendations.
