Vol. 395 No. 9

Written Answers. - County Roscommon Special School Staffing.

John Connor

Question:

304 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education the reason for the delay in having a speech therapist and child care assistant appointed to St. Michael's Special School, Castlerea, County Roscommon, where the school enrolment justifies the making of such appointments.

The post of child-care assistant in the school in question is subject to the embargo on the filling of vacancies in the public service.

The appointment of a speech therapist is a matter for the Department of Health.
