11 Mr. Howlin asked the Taoiseach if he will identify the six counties with the highest rates of unemployment at the end of December 1989.
The 1986 Census of Population provides the most recent data for the comparison of unemployment rates on a county basis. Those counties with the six highest unemployment rates at the 1986 Census were Donegal, Louth, Wexford, Waterford, Wicklow and Kerry.
