Vol. 396 No. 3

Written Answers. - Terrorist Related Deaths.

Roger T. Garland

Question:

157 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Justice, having regard to Parliamentary Question No. 138 of 6 February 1990, if he will give a breakdown of the number of people killed or injured by terrorist or terrorist related activities over the last 20 years; where and when these incidents took place, whether all those who were killed or injured were ordinarily resident in the Republic of Ireland; and the manner in which these people were killed or injured.

The information sought by the Deputy is very wide-ranging and is not normally compiled in such a manner as to enable the question to be answered readily. However, as much of the information sought as can be gathered without resorting to unwarranted time consuming trawling of Garda files is being collected and, as soon as it becomes available, will be communicated to the Deputy.
