Question:

194 Mr. Leonard asked the Minister for the Environment the number of outstanding local improvement scheme applications in each of the 12 western counties; and the average lenght of time which elapses between applying and work being carried out.

The day-to-day administration of the local improvements scheme is devolved to county councils, on the basis of detailed conditions laid down by my Department. The information sought is not available in the Department.
