Vol. 396 No. 3

Written Answers. - Medical Appointment.

Tony Gregory

Question:

211 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health, further to his reply to Parliamentary Question No. 76 of 15 December 1989 when the person concerned can expect an appointment with the relevant consultant at Temple Street Hospital, Dublin 1 having regard to further information (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand from the Children's Hospital, Temple Street that the hospital and the consultant would not be in a position to say when any person could be given an urgent out-patient appointment without communication from the person's general practitioner outlining the relevant medical details. This essential requirement has not been met in this case.
