Question:235 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education the present position regarding the building of a new community school in Kenmare, County Kerry; and when the building of this school will commence.

Architectural planning of the project has reached Stage 3 — developed sketch scheme — of my Department's design team procedures. It is not possible to indicate at this time when the building of the new school will commence as the rate of progress of this and other such projects is dependent on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
