Vol. 396 No. 5

Written Answers. - Beaumont (Dublin) Hospital.

Liam Kavanagh

Question:

31 Mr. Kavanagh asked the Minister for Health if he has any plans to expand the renal unit at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin 9; if he is satisfied with the present provision at the hospital; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

My Department have been in contact with the Beaumont Hospital authorities over the past few months with a view to resolving the problems which exist in the renal unit there.

Further discussions are scheduled to take place shortly in the context of the hospital's service plan for 1990 when the issue will again be addressed. I will remain in touch with the hospital until the issue is resolved.
