John V. Farrelly

Question:

63 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a beef subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payments to this applicant under the 1989 calf, suckler cow and special beef premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

64 Mr. Farrelly asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a control of farmyard pollution grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Meath.

Phil Hogan

Question:

65 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a suckler cow grant and other grants will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny.

This applicant's herdnumber has been amalgamated with the herdnumber held jointly by his son and his son's uncle.

These applicants have already received payment under the 1989 suckler cow premium scheme and a 70 per cent advance payment under the 1989 beef cow and equines headage scheme.

Payments covering the balance payable under that scheme and the full amounts due to them under the 1989 calf and special beef premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

William Cotter

Question:

66 Mr. Cotter asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a headage grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This applicant has already received a 70 per cent advance payment under the 1989 beef cow and equines headage scheme.

Payments covering the balance due under that scheme and the full amounts due to him under the 1989 calf and suckler cow premium schemes are being processed and will issue shortly.

Michael Creed

Question:

67 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a land reclamation grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; the date on which the application was made; the date of inspection; and the reason for the delay in this case.

An application for the work in this case was received on 16 August 1989 and an inspection carried out on 4 December 1989. The approval will issue shortly.

The delay in issuing an approval in this case is due to a difficulty in relation to the designtaion of the lands.

Donal Carey

Question:

68 Mr. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid a cattle headage grant, a suckler grant and calf and beef premia.

Payments to this applicant under the 1989 calf premium, suckler cow premium, special beef premium and cattle and equines headage schemes have already been made.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

69 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when payment of a suckler grant and headage payment will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

Payments to this applicant under the 1987, 1988 and 1989 calf premium, special beef premium and 1989 suckler cow premium schemes have already been made.

He was deemed ineligible for grants under the 1987 and 1988 suckler cow premium schemes because his off-farm income exceeded his on-farm income for tax year ended 5 April 1987 and 5 April 1988.

He is not eligible for grants under the cattle and equines, beef cow or sheep headage schemes as his lands are outside the disadvantaged areas.
