Question:

102 Mr. McCartan asked the Minister for Education the number of chaplains who are employees of and are employed either directly or indirectly out of moneys provided by the Exchequer in (a) technical colleges, including the Dublin Institute of Technology, (b) teacher training colleges, (c) constituent colleges of the National University of Ireland, (d) other recognised colleges of the National University of Ireland, (e) Trinity College, Dublin and (f) Dublin City University and Limerick University; and if she will provide an estimate of the aggregate current annualised payroll cost in each category.

The number of chaplains employed by the institutions referred to by the Deputy and the aggregate annualised payroll cost is as follows:
