Vol. 397 No. 10

Written Answers. - Tax Rebate.

Michael Bell

Question:

62 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in payment of a tax rebate in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Louth; and when the rebate will be paid.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has no record of receipt of an application for repayment of tax from the taxpayer.

According to official records, the taxpayer ceased employment in December 1983 and the final repayment of tax due in respect of the year 1983-84 was made to him in April 1984.
