Vol. 398 No. 2

Written Answers. - Appointment of Remedial Teacher.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

42 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education if she has any plans for the appointment of a remedial teacher, even on a part-time basis, for Broadway national school, County Wexford.

To date the school in question is not among those to which it has been possible for my Department to allocate the services of a remedial teacher in accordance with its assessment of priority of need.

However, I have recently sanctioned 30 additional remedial teachers in primary schools and will be keeping the appointment of further remedial teachers under review.
