Question:

70 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Finance if he will outline in respect of himself and his Minister of State (a) the number of special advisers (other than career civil servants) appointed (b) their names (c) their remuneration and (d) whether the appointments are on a full or part-time basis.

The following is the information requested in respect of my Department and the Offices under my aegis:

I have appointed Mr. Michael Doherty as my special adviser, his appointment is on a full time basis and his annual all-in remuneration is £21,483.
