Vol. 398 No. 10

Written Answers. - Ballyfermot (Dublin) Housing Refurbishment.

Jim Mitchell

Question:

191 Mr. J. Mitchell asked the Minister for the Environment if he has considered a request from Dublin Corporation to proceed with the refurbishment of 12 houses at Clifden Drive, Ballyfermot, Dublin 10 before 30 June 1990 on the basis of tenders received in respect of similar houses at Cloverhill Road, Ballyfermot; if, in view of the fact that the houses concerned on both roads are in need of refurbishment and that some residents have already moved out of their houses to alternative accommodation, he will approve the request; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

No such request has been received from the corporation.

Approval to the seeking of tenders for 30 houses, including 12 at Clifden Drive, issued to the corporation on 31 January 1990. The corporation has not submitted its proposals in relation to the acceptance of tenders.
