155 Mr. Nealon asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total number of civil servants employed in the decentralised Social Welfare offices at College Road, Sligo; the various grades employed; the numbers in each grade; and the total annual payroll for the staff involved.
The Government's decision to decentralise the Social Welfare Pensions Office to Sligo has resulted in an annual payroll of some £3.1 million in respect of the 319 staff who are now established in Sligo. The following table shows the number of staff, by grade, employed in my Department's new offices at College Road, Sligo.
