Vol. 401 No. 4

Written Answers. - Cork Spastic Clinic Grant Application.

Joe Sherlock

Question:

233 Mr. Sherlock asked the Minister for Health if he will give further consideration to the application by the committee of the Children's Assessment and Treatment Centre at Cork Spastic Clinic.

I presume the Deputy is referring to the application by the Cork Spastic Clinic for a capital grant to enable it to expand the services of the clinic.

Regrettably, owing to the number of competing demands, particularly in respect of commitments already entered into, I am not in a position to make a grant available for this project in the immediate future. However, it is open to the clinic to apply to the Southern Health Board for a grant from national lottery proceeds at the board's disposal.
