89 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Education the steps she intends to take to ensure that secretarial courses provided by private institutions are of an acceptable educational standard and that fees charged are of a fair level; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Secretarial or other courses which are provided in institutions not recognised by my Department are private commercial ventures. They do not come under the jurisdiction of my Department and, consequently, I have no function in relation to them.
