311 Dr. Fitzpatrick asked the Minister for Education the up to date position regarding the appointment of a technical director of the coaching bureau; if the position will be advertised; and when she expects the appointment will be made.
A public competition for this position was held in 1989 but no appointment was made. Selected individuals with suitable qualifications and expertise have recently been approached to ascertain their interest in the position. It is intended to make an appointment from among this group by competitive interview.
