Vol. 402 No. 3

Written Answers. - Free Travel for Handicapped Person.

Nuala Fennell

Question:

121 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Health the reason a mentally handicapped person (details supplied) in County Dublin has been refused free travel to a workshop in Dunmore House, Glenageary, County Dublin; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

This person is unable to avail of free travel on public transport because of the level of disability. However, the Eastern Health Board in conjunction with the Hospitaller Order of St. John of God, Dunmore House, are arranging that transport will be provided to facilitate attendance at the workshop.
