103 Dr. G. FitzGerald asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce, following his acceptance of the conclusions and recommendations of the Fair Trade Commission, whether he has made representations in relation to the proposed acquisition of Maguire and Paterson Limited, by Swedish Match N. V.

My concerns in this matter have been expressed, through official channels, to the Commission of the European Communities, the German Bundeskartellamt and the Monopolies and Mergers Commission in the United Kingdom.
