Vol. 403 No. 5

Written Answers. - Headage Grant Payments.

Dinny McGinley

Question:

61 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when the 1990 cattle and sheep headage grants will be paid to farmers in disadvantaged areas.

An amount of about £15 million has already been paid under the 1990 sheep headage scheme. Payments under the 1990 cattle and equines headage scheme commenced this week. It is anticipated that by the end of December some £76 million will have been paid out under all these schemes in the current year.
