Vol. 403 No. 5

Written Answers. - Castlebar Hospital Medical Equipment.

Enda Kenny

Question:

75 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the provision of a haemodialysis unit in Castlebar General Hospital, County Mayo; and if he will respond to the submission for funding lodged by the Western Health Board.

I have informed the Western Health Board that the question of revenue funds to open the proposed unit should be considered by the board itself in the context of its overall 1991 allocation and having regard to the board's other priority service developments.
