Question:90 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if she intends to provide a negotiating mechanism for national, secondary, vocational, community and comprehensive teachers to discuss their conditions of service.
Written Answers. - Teachers' Conditions of Service.
The scheme of conciliation and arbitration for teachers does not at present provide for negotiations on conditions of service. However, the scheme may be amended if all parties to the scheme agree. My Department and the Department of Finance, have indicated their agreement to negotiating an appropriate amendment to the scheme.
