Vol. 403 No. 6

Written Answers. - Kenmare Community School.

John Bruton

Question:

70 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if finance will be provided in the 1991 Estimates to provide a community school in Kenmare, County Kerry.

As the Deputy is aware, the annual capital provision for the second level school building programme is made on a global basis and no specific amount is allocated for any particular project. I am not in a position at present to state when the proposed new community school at Kenmare, County Kerry, can proceed to construction as the rate at which the project will advance is dependent on the completion of the planning/design procedures of my Department, the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
