Vol. 403 No. 8

Written Answers. - Wexford Company Industrial Dispute.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

126 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Labour if he will consider intervening in the industrial dispute in a company (details supplied) in Wexford, which has resulted from the company's refusal to recognise the trade union; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The dispute, which concerns union recognition, involves approximately 60 of the company's 80 employees and is in progress since 30 November.

An industrial relations officer of the Labour Court has been in touch with both parties and I would urge both sides to avail of the services being offered.
