Question:

176 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Health the number of (a) permanent, (b) temporary and (c) part-time nurses employed in St. Patrick's Hospital, Cashel, County Tipperary; and if he intends to provide extra permanent posts, in view of the urgent need for increased staff in this hospital.

The current wholetime equivalent number of nursing staff employed in St. Patrick's Hospital, Cashel, is as follows: permanent, 25.5; temporary, 12 and part-time, three. The South-Eastern Health

Board propose to employ two extra permanent nurses in St. Patrick's Hospital.
