195 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education the employment status of a person (details supplied) in County Waterford who is currently a shared caretaker between St. Mary's primary school, Dungarvan, and the Christian Brothers' primary school, Dungarvan, and who was previously shared beween the Presentation Convent primary school, Dungarvan, and the Christian Brothers' primary school, Dungarvan; if her attention has been drawn to the extra duties involved following the merger of the two schools; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Under my Department's scheme the caretaker in question is employed by St. Mary's national school, Dungarvan, and is shared with the Christian Brother's national school, Dungarvan. The determination and assignment of his duties are matters for the board of management.
