Question:

51 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the average waiting period at present for payment of TB reactor grants.

I have been informed by the director for ERAD that the average waiting period for payment of TB reactor grants is five to six weeks. Delays may occur in specific cases for reasons outside the control of ERAD.

52 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Cork will receive payment of a TB reactor grant.

The reactor grant due to the person named will be paid as soon as possible.

Question:

54 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a ewe subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

The second instalment of the 1990 ewe premium will issue in the very near future. The person named has agreed that the third and final instalment of the 1990 ewe premium, which will not be fixed by the EC until March next, be offset against an amount owed by him to the Land Commission.
