Vol. 403 No. 10

Written Answers. - Teagasc Advisers.

Paul McGrath

Question:

24 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of agriculture advisers employed by Teagasc for each of the last five years.

This is an internal matter for Teagasc but I am informed that the number of agricultural advisers employed for each of the past five years is as follows:

1986

453

1987

437

1988

374

1989

314

1990

300

I understand that the figures in my reply to a parliamentary question on 21 June 1990 include all personnel in Teagasc employed in the agricultural development officer grades some of whom are not engaged in advisory work.
