Vol. 404 No. 2

Written Answers. - Dublin Corporation Dispute.

Nora Owen

Question:

74 Mrs. Owen asked the Minister for Labour if he will intervene in the dispute in Dublin Corporation by-law department which is leading to unacceptable delays in the issuance of by-laws decisions; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The employees in question are covered by the local government conciliation and arbitration scheme and do not have access to the Labour Court. However, I understand that informal talks have taken place at local level between management and the employees concerned. Following these talks the industrial action was called off and normal work was resumed from 11 December 1990.
