Written Answers. - Mourne Abbey (County Cork) National Monument.

Question:

145 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for Finance if officials of the Office of Public Works will, as requested, meet with a deputation from the Cork County Council National Monuments Advisory Committee in order to discuss the possibility of taking over and developing the Abbey, Mourne Abbey, County Cork.

Mourne Abbey is a national monument protected by a preservation order made in 1939 but which is not in State care.

A meeting can be arranged if the Cork County Council National Monuments Advisory Committee contact the Office of Public Works.
